World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
Item upgrade allows players to raise the item level of equippable weapons and armor. This increases the power of the equipment, and also sometimes adding buffs or rerolling an affix.
It is important to keep in mind that upgrading magic and common gear isn't always worth the cost. Rare and Unique gear will quickly outclass modernized magic and common equipment.
Cost
The player has to spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost to upgrade an item varies based on the item's current level and the type of upgrade. For example upgrading a weapon will generally be less expensive than upgrading armor, as weapons have lower level requirements. The amount of Gold required increases as an item is upgraded.
An upgraded item will also come with increased stats, which could boost its performance in many ways. This could include increasing the power of its attack, critical strike chance, or damage per second. Additionally an upgraded item could be able to offer additional buffs to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades can be used for a number of reasons, including to boost the overall power of an individual or group unit. They can also be a significant influence on the gameplay.
The NPC for upgrading items can be located in the game. These NPCs can be found in the major questing areas or capital cities. You can also find item-upgraders in dungeons that feature high-level bosses and talking to NPCs in garrisons of your faction.
The World of Warcraft item upgrade system lets players upgrade the level of armor, weapons and trinkets. This process is very similar to the process used for gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor however, instead of using the appropriate currency players need to visit an NPC to upgrade their items to complete the process.
Upgrades to items can be expensive, particularly when it comes to weapons and armor. Depending on which upgrade track you select, each item level increase will cost Valorstones or Crests. The total cost can be very prohibitive for players who don't have the resources or are unable to grind them.
Fortunately the game lets players play a reroll of an upgraded item by using a special tool in the items menu. This option replaces the upgraded item with the level 1 version which offers different bonuses. This is a great way to improve the roll of items that are already upgraded. However, it can also be a waste.
Requirements
Upgrading is the process of increasing the item level of the items that are equippable, such as trinkets, weapons and armor. This boosts their stats and can make them more effective in combat. Players can upgrade gear by spending appropriate currencies at an NPC that sells upgraders for items. Players should be aware of the fact that some upgrades require specific requirements.
The initial upgrades only boost the stats of the base item by one level, but later upgrades give more substantial increases. For instance upgrading a weapon from three to level six will increase the weapon's damage by plus two levels. A bonus stat will also be added to the upgraded item based on the level. The bonus is a combination of a guarantee extra substat and a random stat that will vary in value from upgrade to upgrade.

item upgrading can reroll an upgraded item by using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a brand new one. The new item comes with a different set extra bonuses, and a lower level for the item. The rerolled item will have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to note that the item rerolled does not have its original level or any of its wasted resource.
Rerolling some upgraded items is only possible if the item was upgraded was an Epic, Rare or Unique. Some exceptional items are also allowed to be rerolled, but their original stats will be replaced with a flat bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare item will result in a Normal version of the same type, while rerolling an Epic item will result in an Elite version of the same type.
An upgraded item might come with additional modifiers, which can increase the stats of the item and enhance its performance. These additional modifiers are not included in the upgrade cost. They can be obtained through the questing process, purchasing them from the Trading Post or from other players. They can be earned through fulfilling specific missions in the game.
To upgrade a piece of equipment, visit the NPC [Armoror Boboko located in Central Flarine. Based on the type of item, you'll need one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is droppable from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 12 is available from Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.
Time is an important factor.
Item upgrades are a way to increase your ship's stats and gear without needing to level them up. They're not cheap, but they can be an effective way to increase your stats and not have to spend as much time fighting. It's important to know the cost and benefits prior to investing your money or time.
Each upgrade increases the base stat of an item by a certain amount, and also gives a chance to gain a bonus substat increase. The random substat could vary from a modest increase to a significant boost. Focus on the items that perform best in slot first. They will provide a more profit for your investment.
You can view the time it takes to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting a weapon, ship, or other accessory. The upgrade window will show the estimated completion time and the progress. In some cases you may be able speed up the process of upgrading by using a Glyph.
It is also possible to salvage any or all of the upgrade components from an item using a high-end salvage kit, which is offered by Black Lion Salvage and Ascended Salvage. This is not applicable to legendary equipment or upgrades that can be recovered with an upgrade extractor or making a claim with the appropriate Karma dealer.
Rewards
The upgrading of items grants players currency and a range of items. In addition, every upgrade has a chance to give a random stat bonus. The value of the bonus differs for every upgrade, and is usually more expensive for rarer items. Players can use the Great Vault search to see whether an item is upgradeable prior to purchasing tickets. The search will also reveal whether the item is of a certain tier and if the player would benefit from an upgrade.
During the upgrade, an item will gradually grow closer to the next stage, but not always reach its fully upgraded bar. The process will consume Growthstones and Sollant and Sollant, but there's a ten percent chance to get a fully upgraded item with just one cycle of growth. The higher the level an item is upgraded to, the higher its boosted stat value and the more items it is able to upgrade to.
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to gain an attribute bonus, or a special effect, while the equipment is being worn. Certain upgrade components come with cosmetic effects. Players can acquire upgrade items by crafting, buying from vendors or on the Trading Post, looting, or receiving as a reward. In addition players can find upgraded items using an Upgrade Extractor, or salvaging them with a salvage kit. Glyphs, which are placed in tools for gathering can be swapped without any restrictions.
A player can reroll an item to upgrade it into another item by selecting it and pressing the green button an arrow for reroll. This will change the layout and allow players to select up to six items to be used for "recycling". The item that is recycled can be exchanged for an item of level 1 of the same kind. Rerolled items will not retain their status, nor will the resources used to upgrade them.
An item's maximum upgrade level is determined by its tier and quality. Uncommon items can be upgraded up to a maximum of level six, while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to levels nine. The upgrades to items are added to the base statistics of the item. This means that they won't increase in the future after a certain level.
